At the Miss Fur Rondy pageant, this is the first year since 1995 that there has been a Fur Rondy pageant. The new director, Rita Corwin, who is also the director of our Mrs. Alaska America pageant, put on a wonderful production. What a great kick off to start our Fur Rondy winter festival which will be held February 27th thru March 8th. Miss Fur Rondy will be a main feature throughout the 10 day festival. Congratulations to Jazmine Williams, Miss Fur Rondy, and to her princesses Kaela Larson and Hannah Tweit.
Also to the absolutely marvelous Kristina Bellamy, the Judges Hostess;former national pageant queen, and owner of Simply Stunning, LLC.
I attended the event with Mrs. Alaska International 2009, Gia Simmons, I thought I had a picture of the two of us, but could not find it, Gia, you gotta email me a pic to post!!
