Vegas Baby!!!
My best friend since the 3rd grade, yes, 3rd grade, got to go on a girls trip to Vegas at the end of January! We had been trying to plan a trip for the 2 of us for 7 years, in between pageants, husbands, children, and careers we thought it was going go be impossible, but somehow we did it! Neither one of us are gamblers, I think I put $10.00 in the slot machine and she put absolutely zero in, but we had a great time, shopping, sight seeing, and eating. Her name is DeLonna, yes, that is right Delonna and Devona!! We had not seen each other in about 5 years, so that made it all the more sweeter! Curtis was a tad bit jealous, because he loves to gamble, and Vegas is his absolute favorite place to go! But I am sure he will get to go soon enough. I miss you already Delonna!! ( Elvis in a minivan, hahahha)

At the Miss Fur Rondy pageant, this is the first year since 1995 that there has been a Fur Rondy pageant. The new director, Rita Corwin, who is also the director of our Mrs. Alaska America pageant, put on a wonderful production. What a great kick off to start our Fur Rondy winter festival which will be held February 27th thru March 8th. Miss Fur Rondy will be a main feature throughout the 10 day festival.
Congratulations to Jazmine Williams, Miss Fur Rondy, and to her princesses Kaela Larson and Hannah Tweit.
Also to the absolutely marvelous Kristina Bellamy, the Judges Hostess;former national pageant queen, and owner of Simply Stunning, LLC.
I attended the event with Mrs. Alaska International 2009, Gia Simmons, I thought I had a picture of the two of us, but could not find it, Gia, you gotta email me a pic to post!!

Merry Christmas!!!
Isn't she a doll!!
This was my very best Christmas present, her name is Isabella, Bella for short! I went from a 130lb Germen Shepherd to a 2 lb chihuahua, am I nuts??? She is a sweet heart, she will never take Felson's place, but she definitely fills the void in my heart he left.
(yes, I am a stereotype, I put her in my purse, dress her up, and take her places with me, but I do not care, it is great)

Our new home

Sorry to post so much on one day, we had an extremely busy summer. We sold our home in Anchorage, and bought at new home in Eagle River, Ak. (Can I still be Mrs. Anchorage?? teehee)

I have to say I was a little worried about moving from the "city", but I love Eagle River. We are about a 10 minute or so drive from Anchorage, and we have everything we need right here! Even though we are so close to town, it seems so much quieter, and easy going out here!

Angela, Mrs. North Dakota International, I would love some pics so I could post them!! I am so proud of you, being a wonderful mother, writer, student, and advocate for women, I need to sing your praises, and put up a smashing photo of you!!

Our daughter started high school this year, yes 9th grade! Wow is all I can say, they grow up so fast, we are very lucky, she is such a wonderful girl............. hope that lasts!!

Congrats!

Congratulations to Kim Huitt, Mrs. Alaska America, for winning the state costume award at Mrs. America! Her costume represents the "Spirit of Alaska" with the wood carved salmon representing the sea, the Bear representing the earth and the eagle representing the sky.

State Fair

We took the RV out to the state fair and spend the weekend. We had a great time, Ellana took her friend Linnie with her and we walked around, looked at all the animals and exhibits, and had lots and lots of fair food! Curtis even had a pork chop on a stick!
